Hi, Nicole, here. Let me tell you my story.
Constant throughout my life are The Arts, Reading, and Journeys.
Music, Wine, and Jewelry are each ways I have spent 15 or more years of my life. I taught Dance for a couple of years, explored Stained Glass, Open Mics, and even Fencing, part of the inspiration for the Epee Frontier Collection. These gave me a creative view of the possibilities when I design something for you.
I love to read and explore the possibilities those ideas conjure. They give me something to reach for, and always learn from. Moving every few years gave me similar feelings about different people and cultures. Appreciating the designs and connections around the world.
My childhood hobby became a career in 1998, selling my first macrame and bead designs at a shop in the “big city.” In 2001, books like divining rods, sending me on my path, I found an apprenticeship, so I could learn to make “real” jewelry.
No kidding, their name was “Mithril,” from LOTR! Three brothers and a wax carver trained me in classic techniques and repair. Later, I became a Certified Diamontologist through the Diamond Council of America, giving me more insight into the industry.
Having spent the past decade specializing in antique jewelry restoration, I’ve seen generations of jewelry, from different eras and of varying quality, belonging to various people. I've worked on everything from string and glue to Tiffany and Cartier. I see how much sentimental value is placed on these pieces, and I’m proud to keep them a legacy for your family. I maintain that, as they get transformed into a new article that resonates with you and makes your ancestors smile!
